Yeah! I lost 2 pounds this last week. Now I know that really isn't a big deal(yeah yeah, only 48 more to go!), but the reason I am bringing it up is because I recently decided to stay home and start an online business from the comfort of my living room.
Access to the fridge whenever I get bored, lonely, or frustrated. Not a good thing. I had all these visions of gaining 2 pounds or more a week. I know it takes 3500 calories to put on a pound but not really hard to do when your cupoboards are full of pudding(145 calories a cup), cups of fruit(115 calories a cup), bags of mini chocolate bars(45 calories a bar), bags of fudgee cookies(110 for 2 cookies), marshmallows(100 calories a handful). You get my point. Keeping that in mind though I decided to really concentrate on staying out of thoses cupboards and keeping active. Since I don't have a set schedule anymore, when I do get the urge to binge I have taken on the habit(well too early to call a habit, so, habit in the making)of walking out the door and heading around the block to discuss with myself the true reason I am reaching for food. I have found that in the 20 minutes it takes to walk around my block I am no longer "hungry" when I get back inside. It is also helping me to associate my food habits with other psychological issues(but that is another subject).
I am still trying to incorporate better food into my diet. It is hard when you have been eating the same kinds of food for years. But I am starting with the concentrated effort. Here is a tip for you.
